Name: Prof Baoguo Han
Biography
Dr. Baoguo Han, Professor of Civil Engineering at Dalian University of Technology since 2012, holds a BS and MS in Material Science and Engineering (Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China, 1999, 2001) and a PhD in Engineering Mechanics (Harbin Institute of Technology 2005). He was invited to the University of Minnesota and has worked as a visiting research scholar there for three years. He has published five authored books and one book video, three edited books, 17 book chapters, and more than 200 technical papers. The citations and h-index/i10-index in Google are 11623 and 57/164, respectively. The research outcomes have been reported as research highlights more than 20 times. He has held more than 20 authorized national invention patents and was awarded the first prize of Natural Science by the Ministry of Education of China. Professor Baoguo Han is a Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining as well as the International Association of Advanced Materials, and has served as a reviewer for more than 160 books and journals and as a member in more than 40 scientific professional societies including academic organization, journal chief editor and editorial board member and review panel for scientific research projects and awards. He has been awarded Top Peer Reviewer in the Global Peer Review Awards powered by Publons in both Materials Science and Cross-Field, listed in Highly Cited Chinese Researchers by Elsevier, and named in the world’s top 2% scientists by Stanford University.

Dr. Katarzyna M. Sawicka

Biography
Dr. Katarzyna M. Sawicka is currently working as a Research Scientist at Department of Dermatology Stony Brook Medical Center, Stony Brook, New York. She did her PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, New York, U.S.A. Her MS in Chemistry, Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, New York and BS in Engineering Chemistry, Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, New York. Her research focuses on developing novel technologies to capitalize on the enhanced functions of nano-scaled materials. Recently, Sawicka joined the Department of Dermatology, where she hopes to further pursue the development of Immunometric, a non-invasive skin patch that effectively delivers vaccines into the skin. She has over 17 publications in peer reviewed journals in her credit.

Developing novel technologies to capitalize on the enhanced functions of nano-scaled materials.

Dr. Jim Huang is Founder and CEO of Ascendia Pharmaceuticals North Brunswick, NJ. He obtained his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, Philadelphia, PA. His Master of Science in Pharmaceutics from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, Philadelphia, PA. His publications include studies on drug solubilization and controlled delivery in polymeric solid dispersion systems, amorphous drug delivery systems, controlled release, modeling and simulation, thermal and spectroscopic characterization of amorphous molecular dispersion, drug-polymer interactions and its significance on physical stability of amorphous drug, and micro/nano particulate dosage forms for use in parenteral routs, etc. He credits several publications at peer-reviewed international journals, presentations at international pharmaceutical conference, and patent publications.

solubility/dissolution rate improvement and controlled delivery of poorly water-soluble drugs through nano and micro-particle and amorphous solid dispersion technology.
Dr. Giovani Leone Zabot

Name: Dr. Giovani Leone Zabot
Giovani Leone Zabot currently working as a professor at Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM)–Brazil. He held a position of postdoctoral researcher at UNICAMP from 2015 to 2016.He has received a bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering (2011) and his DSc. in Food Engineering at University of Campinas – UNICAMP/Brazil (2015). The main subjects of research comprise Bioprocesses Applied in Agriculture, Biotechnology, Food Processes, and Microorganisms Applied to Food Waste Treatment. He has published 33 peer-reviewed papers and 3 book chapters and 43 scientific works. He has a partnership with more than 90 researchers from Brazil, Peru, Colombia, and Spain.

Dr. Sinoj Abraham
Mechanical Engineering Department, University of Alberta, Canada
Name: Dr. Sinoj Abraham
Dr. Sinoj Abraham is working as Research faculty and Group Leader at IngenuityLab, Chemical and Materials Engineering Department and Adjunct Professor at Mechanical Engineering Department of University of Alberta. After receiving Ph. D. in August 2007 (Macromolecular Design and Engineering), Dr. Abraham joined Alberta Lipid Utilization Program at University of Alberta for investigating value added materials from renewable resources and commissioned the Scale up pilot plant production facility for making polyols from canola oil. During the post-doctoral tenure, Dr. Abraham was actively involved in fabricating anti-biofouling materials for medical implants and biomimicing growth factors, ECM’s etc. Working as senior research officer with Hy-Power Nano Inc., Dr. Abraham was leading the team that developed a new method for making transparent conducting oxides (TCO) for various photo-electro-mechanical applications. Currently he is the team leader of chemistry and materials with IngenuityLab, designing Nano-Bio electronic materials. This includes biomimics, 4D printing, Regenerative medicine, membranes, water purifications, oil-water separations etc. He is working with various projects funded by Natural Resources Canada, J&J Inc., Alberta Innovates Technology Futures (AITF), National Institute for Nanotechnology (NINT) etc. Dr. Abraham owns 9 patents and co-authored more than 30 publications.

Biomaterials, Polymers, Nano Materials, Environmental and green material, Energy harvesting and energy-transfer materials, Materials-based devices.
